The typical smartphone will warn you when the battery is low and request that you plug it in. If you look close you will see a link that is labeled “Why?” This link will return detailed power consumption since the last time you had your phone plugged in. Note that your top energy consumer is the display. To solve this, go into your display settings and reduce the screen brightness a few notches. The next day your battery life will last twice as long, perhaps longer and you will quickly adjust to the lower brightness setting.
