I learned a valuable lesson today while I was washing my cat in the tub. I try to do this once a week but today she got sick on herself so she got an early bath. Well normally she just randomly complains but today I think she got too much water in her face, instinct kicked in and she bit me!

Now you may not know this but cats have a lot of bacteria in their mouths. This combined with a puncture wound from a cat bite is a formula for a nasty infection. Every home should have a good first-aid kit with sterile pads, disinfectant, and band-aids among other supplies. So if you are like me and you like a fresh, clean kitty, be prepared and get to a doctor fast if you are bitten!

The Costa Mesa Bark Park (890 Arlington Ave, Costa Mesa, Ca) is an open to the public “dog park” just off the 55 Newport Beach Freeway. Bark Park is fenced off and designed for owners to let their dogs run leash-free so master and dog can socialize. There are two sections: one for large dogs (this is the biggest area) and the second is for small dogs (a smaller area but plenty of room). Additionally, their are lots of random tennis balls on the ground that anyone can use to start up a game of fetch with any random Fido that happens to be nearby. A dog is NOT required to enjoy the park so drop by, scratch a few heads, and shake a few paws! http://www.cmbarkpark.org
